France have beat Swizerland to take the lead in Group E. The scoring began in the 17th minute, when striker Olivier Giroud gave France a 1-nil lead with a powerful header.

Just one minute later, Blaise Matuidi sent the ball into the low corner to give Les Bleus a quick two-nil advantage. Mathieu Valbuena added another score just before halftime, with a simple tap-in. But the scoring spree continued in the second half, as Karim Benzema poked the ball through the legs of Swiss keeper Diego Benagli in the 67th minute for France's fourth.

Another slick move 6 minutes later ended up with Moussa Sissoko firing into the bottom corner. But the Swiss managed to score a consolation in the 81st minute, as substitute Blerim Dzemaili snuck a free kick through the French wall to score one for Switzerland. Granit Xhaka gave the Swiss another point five minutes later. But that's as close as they came. Final score 5-2 for the French.
