In the movie, the father and daughter duo have a close-knit relationship, despite Wahlberg continually nagging the youngster about her relationship with boyfriend Shane and her too short shorts.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction", the latest reboot to the live-action trilogy, premiered in Beijing.

"Yeah, Tessa has a very very protective father. But, you know, I am a father in real life and Nicola, her dad, actually is a friend of mine and I promised him I will keep a close eye on her while we were making the movie and while we promote the movie." said Mark Wahlberg, Actor, "Transformers: Age of Extinction".

A glitch in the production was smoothed out shortly before the premiere. Owners of Beijing's Pangu Plaza, which was the location for parts of the filming, announced last Friday that it had terminated its associations with the new movie, and requested edits to the final cut. But the differences were resolved. And Chinese actress Li Bingbing said "Age of Extinction" will be a success in her home country.

"It makes Chinese fans very happy that 'Transformers 4' was shot partially in China. I believe there'll be many Chinese people going to cinemas this time." said Li Bingbing, Actress, "Transformers: Age of Extinction".

The film held its world premiere in Hong Kong on June the 19th, ahead of its launch in New York next week. Another sign of Hollywood's increasing focus on China's booming film market.
