Chinese actress Tang Wei marries S. Korean director

Chinese actress Tang Wei has married South Korean director Kim Tae-yong in a small and private ceremony in Sweden. Tang and Kim met on the set of his romance drama "Late Autumn" in 2010.

At the start of July, they issued a joint statement confirming their engagement, and they said that they would tie the knot in the fall. But recent reports surfaced suggesting that Tang and Kim had already married while vacationing in Sweden.

Tang's rep said the couple will go ahead with their fall nuptials, where more family and friends will be able to witness them joining in matrimony.

The 34-year-old actress rose to international fame in 2007, when she made her big screen debut in Oscar winning director Ang Lee's spy thriller "Lust, Caution." She also appeared in hit movies "Crossing Hennessy," "Wu Xia" and "Finding Mr. Right."
