Japanese ministers visit war-linked Yasukuni Shrine

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has sent an offering to the Yasukuni Shrine on the 69th anniversary of Japan's surrender. Japanese Internal Affairs Minister Yoshitaka Shindo and Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission Keiji Furuya visited the Shrine on Friday.

They were accompanied by Shinjiro Koizumi, lower house lawmaker from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and son of former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.
