Friday marks the 69th anniversary of Japan's unconditional surrender at the end of World War Two. During that segment of history, Japan allegedly committed atrocities that include massacres, mass rapes, forced labor and sexual slavery. The anniversary of the surrender serves as an occasion to remind the world of the horrors of war and the value of peace.
