The State Archives Administration has made public some important films and photos detailing how China, the US, Britain, and Russia urged Japan to surrender unconditionally during the World War II.

On Saturday, a film clip was released showing how the allied position on Japan's surrender was outlined during the 1943 Cairo Conference. That conference, which was attended by the heads of state of China, the US and UK, also made decisions concerning postwar Asia.

The Archives also released several photographs of historic moments, including the issuance of the Potsdam Proclamation in 1945, which urged the Japanese government to unconditionally surrender, and Russia's declaration of war against Japan.
