Harry Potter hero stars in new fantasy thriller 'Horns' |
The Harry Potter star was in London on Monday to premiere his new thriller Horns, a twisted dark tale combining fantasy and realism.
Horns is based on a dark fantasy novel by Joe Hill. Directed by Alexandre Aja, the film tells the story of Ig Perrish, who is accused of violently raping and murdering his girlfriend.
After a heavy night of drinking, Ig awakes to find a pair of horns growing from his head. He discovers he can force people to reveal their darkest secrets. And so he begins a quest, to find his girlfriend's real killer.

"I think a film like this, as much as it is, in one way, about a guy who grows horns and has to figure out why this is happening and why he is turning into the devil, is actually a film about feeling ostracized and being, feeling like an outsider, and it's about loss and you know, losing the one you love," Radcliffe said.
Co-star Juno Temple was also at the premier. She says the film has many layers for audiences to enjoy.
"I hope it makes them laugh, I hope it makes them desperate to fall in love and I hope that it freaks them out at times," she said.
Radcliffe has struggled to overcome the burden left by his starring role in the Harry Potter series.
That is despite having 20 film credits and three theater runs to his name.
"I'm just an actor getting on with my job at this point and that means picking interesting projects, and people are talking about in this one I wear red and gold, which are, like, Potter colors and you're like 'come on', you're always going to find something if you're looking at that level," he said.
Horns is released in the UK on October 29.
