The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles busted onto the scene on Sunday with the premier of their latest reboot. The turtles were there however without their human co-star Megan Fox, who had to miss the launch due to an allergic reaction.

Filling in for her though, was Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, herself a big fan of the characters. Fox and co-star William Fichtner were in Beijing to promote the movie, and attended a press conference earlier in the day. They were joined by producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, as well as the vice chairman of Paramount Pictures, Rob Moore.

The movie reunites Fox with "Transformers" franchise director Michael Bay, who produced "Turtles." The plot sees the turtles spring into action as a kingpin threatens New York city, and aided by a reporter who is, of course, played by Fox. Producers hope that "Turtles" will follow in the footsteps of "Transformers" by earning big at the Chinese box office.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" became the top-grossing film of all time in China in July. While Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles now, after this weekend, are up to over 400 million dollars around the world.
