Xi: China-Australia ties have bright prospects

During talks, Xi said the progress made during his visit had opened a new chapter in friendly cooperation between the two countries, and their bilateral relations have bright prospects. He stressed that China is focused on developing and strenghtening their military cooperation.

Meanwhile, Cosgrove was encouraged by the establishment of the Australia-China comprehensive strategic partnership and the conclusion of bilateral FTA negotiations.

He said the deals demonstrated both Australia and China's strong commitment to bilateral cooperation, and added that the agreements had his full support.
