An Airasia flight from Bangkok to Nanjing was forced to turn back after a shouting match erupted between Chinese passengers and a flight attendant. The argument, which quickly turned violent, was captured on camera by one of the passengers.

Two Chinese couples first complained about not being seated together. Once their request was satisfied, one of the women asked for hot water for her instant noodles. To everyone's surprise, she suddenly hurled the scalding water at the stewardess.

A man beside her became enraged threatening to blow up the plane. "You think I'm broke? If there's anything wrong, it's because of you. I will blow up the plane." The man seemed completely unaware that another passenger was filming the scene.

After failing to calm the Chinese passengers the pilot decided to turn the plane around. The four passengers were arrested upon landing back in Bangkok.

After a 5-hour delay, the plane took off again. Media in Bangkok reported that the flight attendant was treated for minor burns. The disruptive passengers were also allowed to fly back home after paying a hefty fine.
