In the animal kingdom, it is said that anyone who can collect 100 pieces of wild zebra fur can live forever. Mother Bear has already got 99 and only needs one more piece. "Wild Zebra" tells the story of Miss Zebra who sacrifices her own life to protect the lives of her friends. The young performers said they've learned a lot from this musical.

The show is based on the musical created by Zhang Jigang and Zhang Qianyi. They sold the play's copyrights to the Beijing Municipal Education Commisson for the price of one yuan.

"We are responsible to teach them to love nature and love life," director Zhang Jigang said. "The reason that I sold it at one yuan is that I want to tell them to respect copyrights. It's also a form of education."

The performance has also won the support of parents.

After its premier at Qinghua University, the musical will be staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts.
