A South Korean gunman armed with a hunting rifle has shot dead three people in a house in the northwest of the country, and then committed suicide. 

The incident happened on Friday in a two-story house in the city of Hwaseong. South Korea's Yonhap News Agency said a 75-year-old man shot dead his brother, the brother's wife and a policeman who responded to an emergency call, before killing himself.

A South Korean gunman armed with a hunting rifle has shot dead three people in a house in the northwest of the country, and then committed suicide. 

Police said the shooting appeared to have been motivated by a family dispute over money. The incident came two days after a man shot dead three people in a convenience store and then killed himself in the southern city of Sejong. Gun crime is extremely rare in South Korea due to tough gun control laws.
