Paris Fashion Week continues to surprise and excite. Chanel brought a most authentic Parisian runway show, complete with coffee and croissants.

"Zoolander" stars Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller stole the show at Valentino, while Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen looks to the future, transforming stainless steel into fashion.

Under the soaring glass ceiling of the Grand Palais, Chanel's Winter 2015 show was staged in an elaborate pop-up restaurant, complete with surly Parisian waiters in black waistcoats and white shirts and a bar serving champagne and coffee.

Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld showcased dresses and coats worn by models flitting in and out of the "Brasserie Gabrielle", ordering coffee or perusing newspapers.

The saucy and sparkling collection celebrated both the couture house's archives and the German designer's penchant for novel, modern fabrics and textures.

"I cannot show old clothes in an old setting, that would be too much. The setting is something that exists in France but the clothes of today, with a background of tradition but with proportions of something new." Said Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

Meanwhile, at Valentino's fashion show, American actors Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson stole the spotlight.

Both actors strutted down the runway as their Zoolander alter-egos: Stiller as Derek Zoolander and Wilson as Hansel, apparently to announce the upcoming release of Zoolander 2.

The collection itself featured fluid, elongated silhouettes, light panels and simplicity, all of which evoked sensuality and independence.

Floral prints and butterfly motifs, chiffon robes and lace dresses with metallic threads, expressed the seductive mood of the collection.

And Dutch fashion designer Iris Van Herpen presented her 2015 Fall/Winter "ready-to-wear" collection in Paris on Tuesday night.

Her 'Hacking Infinity' look featured pieces in hand, and geometric shapes that framed the models' bodies.

"The collection is called 'Hacking Infinity' and the inspiration behind it came from terraforming, which means creating a biosphere on an outer planet. It's really my fantasy about how the space would look like and how materials could evolve and how silhouettes could change," Van Herpen said backstage after the show.

Translucent, woven-like crystal shoes were a central piece of the collection.

Van Herpen collaborated with Canadian architect Philip Beesley to fabricate her collection's dresses digitally. She also worked with designer Aleksandra Gaca to create 3-D hand woven textiles.
