The Big Bang Theory actor becomes the 2,545th star

The cast of the "Big Bang Theory" celebrated with co-star Jim Parsons as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Parsons said it was very special that both his "family-family" and his 'Big Bang' family were with him at the ceremomy. 

Parsons said it was very special that both his "family-family" and his 'Big Bang' family were with him at the ceremomy. Dreamworks Animation CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg and producer Chuck Lorre sang the praises of the 41-year-old actor as he was honored with the 2,545th star on Hollywood Boulevard.

The Houston-born actor signed autographs and told the crowd he was trying his best to savor the moment. Parsons has four Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Television Award for playing Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS comedy. Up next Parsons will return to Broadway in the comedy "An Act of God."
