"Murmur of the Hearts" marks Chang's return to the director's chair after a five-year hiatus. It tells the struggle of three young people in Taiwan to live and let go.

The film also sees the return of Hong Kong actress Isabella Leung, who is making a comeback after a seven-year break from acting.
