A major break-through in the national campaign to capture corrupt fugitives who have fled China. The head of the United States Department of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson has reached an agreement with China's Public Security chief, Guo Shengkun over simplifying the process to repatriate Chinese citizens who had received their final deportation orders.
The two departments have also agreed to establish regular communication on the process of key cases, and enhance information-sharing and trust in law enforcement. Guo said the two sides will endeavour to find new methods to capture corrupt officials -- who have fled to the United States -- and recover their illegitimate booties. Both sides said they would not provide a refuge for fugitives.
