Saudi-led war planes have launched a fresh wave of air strikes across Yemen. This comes as fighting continues to rage on the ground in the south of the country.
The Arab coalition has stepped up raids on positions held by Houthi rebels and their allies since a humanitarian ceasefire ended late on Tuesday. According to the UN, the violence has killed more than 1,000 people and displaced close to half a million more.
The UN plans to hold a conference on Yemen in Geneva next week. Yemen's exiled government in Saudi Arabia has expressed reluctance to attend the talks. They say the Houthis should first commit to a UN resolution demanding they withdraw from Yemen's main cities.
