The Asian Athletics Championships continued in Wuhan, China. Competing ahead of the World Championships in August, athletes around the Asia were fighting to meet the qualifying mark.

In men's 100-meter race was former Chinese national record holder Zhang Peimeng. His goal is to reach the 10.16 seconds World Championships mark. Asian record holder Femi Seun Ogunode crossed the finish line first in 9.91 seconds, breaking the Asian record once again. Zhang finished second, in 10.15 seconds, to book a place in the World Championships.
