Ukraine and anti-government forces have reached a preliminary agreement to extend a pull-back of weapons in the country's east.
The latest agreement was reached at a meeting of the so-called "contact group" involving Ukraine, Russia and the anti-government forces under the auspices of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The deal includes the withdrawal of tanks and certain types of arms, which is in accordance with an earlier ceasefire deal agreed in February. Rebels in Ukraine's Donetsk region have claimed to be pulling back weapons from the conflict's front line since Sunday and they have also called on Kiev to uphold their part of the agreement.
