The suspected MH370 wing fragment has arrived at the Aviation Technical Test Center in France for official identification.

Possible MH370 debris to be examined in Toulouse

The laboratory is a department under the French defence ministry which is located in the southwestern city of Toulouse. It was founded in 1949 mainly to contribute to European civil and military aircraft ground testing. The institution is able to analyze planes and aircraft equipment in the condition of static, dynamic and fatigue and also track down the planes' serving technology. Some of their test objects include military jets and the Airbus A380.

The center was also involved in analyzing debris from the Air France flight which crashed en route from Brazil to Paris in 2009, killing 228 people.
