Chinese premier meets Japanese PM in Seoul

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Seoul. The meeting was held Sunday at the request of the Japanese side.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Seoul at the request of Japanese side on November 1, 2015. 

Li urged Japan to handle sensitive issues in bilateral ties properly. He called for joint efforts to maintain and strengthen a positive momentum in the rapprochement between the two countries. To achieve that, Li said Japan should honor its commitment by facing up to and reflecting on history. Li also called for deepening political trust and practical cooperation between the two neighbors.

Abe said Japan and China have a responsibility to promote regional peace and stability and boost the development of the world economy. He said he is willing to improve and develop his country's ties with China based on the four political documents signed by the two countries.
