Russia gives French police German Shepherd puppy

The Russian Deputy Interior Minister has handed over a German Shepherd puppy to the French Ambassador. The gesture is in honor of a French police dog killed during a raid connected with the recent Paris attacks.

Russia gives French police German Shepherd puppy 

The puppy, named Dobrynya, was handed over in Moscow on Monday. He is to replace the seven-year-old Belgian Shepherd, Diesel, was killed in the line of duty in a police raid in Paris. Dobrynya must remain in quarantine for up to three months before leaving for his new home. He's named after a medieval knight who was the incarnation of "strength, valor and justice".
