A number of famous actors and actresses who have appeared in Xiaogang's movies, including Fan Bingbing and Ge You, came to the Beijing premiere Sunday. This is the second time that Feng has played a lead role in a movie, though after winning his Best-Actor award, he said he would quit acting in movies.

"Today's premiere makes me think about the premieres I attended for my former movies. It has been two years since I directed movies. This time, I'm very honored to play in 'Mr. Six,' directed by Guan Hu. I really appreciate this experience and this premiere," Feng said.

Feng plays the title role in "Mr. Six," a 50-something-year-old neighborhood kingpin called "Lao Pao Er," who has long reigned over the Beijing streets. One day, when his mischievous son causes a dispute with a drag-racing street gang leader, he steps up to defend him.

"Lao Pao Er" then discovers that the younger generation of gang members have already named this drag racer as his successor, and that he no longer holds sway in the street scene.

Feng was joined at the Beijing premiere by two other main actors from the movie, Wu Yifan and Li Yifeng, who are among famous rising stars in China.

"Mr Six" will be released on IMAX throughout China December 24.
