China's Huawei unveiled its first ever PC at MWC, as mobile phone makers try to tap into the traditional industry with their own innovative edge.

The electronics giant rolled out this convertible tablet, which is aimed at the premium business market, and will compete with Apple's iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface. The thin MateBook weighs just 640 grammes, without the keyboard, and has a battery life of up to ten hours. Huawei boosted its global smartphone market share to 7.7 percent in the third quarter of 2015, behind Samsung and Apple.

Meanwhile, smartphone maker Xiaomi is also expected to release its first ever laptop. The company rose to fame selling high-spec smartphones with a competitive retail price.
