China's military budget is often the most discussed topic during the political season.

It is usually the topic most commonly queried during the press conference ahead of the political season, and one of the most watched figures in the Premier's Government Work Report.

This year's report says China will increase military spending by 7.6 percent, to more than 954 billion yuan. This is a growth rate down from over 10 percent last year, and over 12 percent in 2014.
