Xi: China rejects action based on S. C. Sea arbitration

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at the Diaoyutai State Guest house in Beijing.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at the Diaoyutai State Guest house in Beijing. 

Xi said China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea will under no circumstances be affected by the arbitration result in the Hague. He said China opposes and will never accept any claim or action based on the decision.

Xi said China will firmly safeguard peace and stability in the South China Sea and advocates resolving disputes through dialogue.
