China grabs second diving gold medal of Games

China were coming off a stellar day Monday, grabbing three golds. And today, Lin Yue and Chen Aisen were looking to continue that momentum as they would look for success in the men's synchronised 10-meter platform.

Chen and Lin would be stellar in their performance -- receiving several 10s in their six round of dives. The Chinese duo, finished about 40-points clear of David Boudia and Steele Johnson of the USA. It is China's second diving gold, after Wu Minxia and Shi Tingmao took the women's synchronised three-meter springboard title.

China settles for bronze medal in artistic discipline

In artistic gymnastics, China's men's were looking to make it a hat-trick of titles after prevailing in 2008 and 2012 Games, but the young squad made several mistakes.

That allowed the Japanese team led by veteran Uchimura Kohei to the top of the podium. China settle for bronze, and Russia get silver.

Aussies beat New Zealand 24-17 in final

And Australia became the first Olympic champions in women's rugby sevens. They ran out c24-17 winners over trans-Tasman neighbours New Zealand. canada took bronze.
