Samsung Electronics shares are down 1-point-52 percent, following the firm's decision to suspend production of Galaxy Note 7 smart-phones.

Samsung says production volumes are being adjusted. The South Korean company's crisis with its flagship device... which was launched in August... hit a new low on Monday amid reports that replacement phones had also caught fire.

Eight cases of Note 7 phones catching fire or overheating have been reported globally. About 2-point-5 million Note 7s have been recalled due to faulty batteries.
