Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono expressed that Indonesia-China relations enjoy sound development and the two countries should continue to strengthen all-dimensional cooperation. The Indonesian people warmly welcome President Xi Jinping's upcoming state visit to Indonesia and the attendance of the 21st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting to be held in Bali Island. I am looking forward to exchanging in-depth views with President Xi Jinping on bilateral relations as well as major regional and international issues so as to deepen friendship, to enhance cooperation and to unceasingly promote bilateral strategic partnership.

Yang Jiechi expressed that China and Indonesia are both major Asian nations and emerging market countries. Strengthening bilateral strategic partnership is the common aspiration of the governments and the people of the two countries. It is of great significance to safeguarding regional peace, stability and development as well as to promoting unity and cooperation among developing countries. President Xi Jinping will soon pay a state visit to Indonesia at the invitation of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. It is a big event for bilateral relations and is of great and far-reaching significance. It is believed that through the joint efforts of both sides, the visit will surely yield fruitful outcomes and strongly push for more in-depth development of bilateral relations in a wider area and on a higher level. China actively supports Indonesia for hosting the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and will strengthen cooperation with Indonesia to make the Meeting realize its set goal.

Both sides exchanged views on the Syrian issue and agreed on the need to unswervingly push for political resolution of the issue.

On the same day, Yang Jiechi co-chaired the fourth meeting of bilateral dialogue mechanism at deputy prime ministerial level with Djoko Suyanto, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. Both sides agreed: first, to strengthen strategic planning and to enhance political mutual trust; second, to deepen economic, trade and investment cooperation and to build the economic and trade cooperation zone. China supports Chinese businesses for joining in Indonesia's six economic corridors and infrastructure construction; third, to explore cooperation on aerospace, maritime affairs, fishery, tourism, as well as defence and law enforcement, and to expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges; fourth, to strengthen fiscal and financial cooperation and to renew bilateral local-currency swap agreement at an early date; and fifth, to boost bilateral coordination and cooperation within APEC, G20 and other multilateral frameworks. Both sides should work together to ensure the success of the 21st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, and to push for positive progress at the Meetings of East Asian Leaders scheduled in October, so as to enhance the level of China-ASEAN cooperation and to promote regional cooperation in East Asia.
