As the starting point and birthplace of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, Fujian has made important contributions to the formation and development of the route. In the course of building the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, Fujian will exploit its advantages of location, history, culture, and overseas Chinese resources. Based on the principles of openness and inclusiveness, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges, Fujian will coordinate land, sea and foreign resources, further carry forward the spirit of solidarity and mutual trust, equality and mutual benefit, tolerance and mutual exchange, as well as win-win cooperation. We will fully mobilize the initiatives of all localities within the province by making overall plans and highlighting regional characteristics with the aim of realizing differentiated but interactive development in Fujian. With cooperation and win-win being the goal of Fujian and other countries along the Maritime Silk Road, the province will effectively facilitate industry integration and upgrading, and bring about enormous benefits to the public. Meanwhile, through innovative thinking and platform building, Fujian will launch diversified culture and art exchanges, strengthen personnel exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and friendship and achieve deeper and longer cooperation in various fields.
