Pakistan Naval Ship in Shanghai hosts a reception

A colorful reception was arranged on Dec. 12, 2017 on board visiting Pakistan Navy ship SAIF docked at the Shanghai port. The PNS SAIF is in Shanghai on a goodwill visit and to participate in 5th PN-PLA(N) bilateral naval exercise.

The Chief guest on the occasion was Rear Admiral Wang Jianxun of PLA Navy. He was joined by Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Masood Khalid and Pakistan's Consul General in Shanghai Mr. Naeem Khan.
Commander of PNS SAIF Captain Shahzad Iqbal thanked the PLA Navy for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to PNS SAIF and its crew. He highlighted the close relations between Pakistan Navy and PLA Navy.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan Masood Khalid said this Port Call has become a regular feature of all-round bilateral relationship between Pakistan and China which is based on mutual-trust, equality and win-win cooperation.

The reception was attended by government officials, diplomats, senior naval officers of PLA, and members of the Pakistani community in Shanghai.
