At least 39 people were killed, and another 90 injured after Saudi-led coalition aircraft struck a military police camp in the Houthi-controlled Sanaa on Wednesday, reported Reuters citing an official and witnesses. Casualties include some prisoners.

The strike is part of an air campaign by the Riyadh-led group, which has waged a war against Houthi rebels since March 2015 in support of internationally recognized President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

The attacks against the Iran-backed militants have increased following the death of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh last week at the hands of Houthis. They had accused him of treason after he turned against them a few days earlier and made overtures to Riyadh.
