Singaporean foreign minister to visit DPRK

Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan will pay an official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said here Wednesday.


Balakrishnan will visit the DPRK at the invitation of his counterpart Ri Yong Ho on Thursday and Friday. During his stay, he will also call on President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong Nam.


Singapore will host the summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and DPRK top leader Kim Jong Un on June 12.
