The Chinese Embassy in Sudan on Wednesday hosted a commendation and farewell reception for the 34th Group of Chinese Medical Assistance Team to Sudan.

In his address to the reception ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Ma Xinmin commended the standing medical cooperation between Sudan and China.

"The medical cooperation has served as a shining example for cooperation between China and African and Arab countries," Ma said.

This cooperation "represents a spirit of the Chinese medical teams as 'braced for hardships, ready to make selfless contributions and committed to saving lives with boundless love'," he added.

Ma expressed China's readiness to work together with Sudan to lift their medical and health cooperation to a new height.

Abdualla Mohammed Ali, representative of the Minister of Ministry of Health of Sudan, hailed the assistance China has been providing to Sudan in the health field.

"On behalf of Ministry of Health of Sudan, I express deep thanks for the members of the Chinese medical team, and through the Chinese Embassy, we extend our thanks to the Chinese people and welcome the 35th Chinese medical team," said Abdualla Mohammed Ali.

The 34th Group of Chinese Medical Assistance Team has 42 members who have worked in three hospitals in Sudan.
