UK Visa Application Centers (VACs) in four Chinese cities — Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing — will resume services on June 1. However, priority and super priority services will not yet be offered at this time.

The news was released on Wednesday by the British Embassy in Beijing.

The UK Home Office previously announced on May 26 that its VACs around the globe will resume services in a phased manner, where local restrictions allow.

"This is an important milestone in the resumption of our people-to-people exchanges. Thank you for your patience during the temporary closures," said British Ambassador Barbara Woodward on Wednesday.

"We look forward to gradually welcoming more Chinese people to visit, study and do business with the UK and continuing the fight against this global pandemic together," Woodward added.

In addition, some English Testing Centers are also resuming services. Candidates can get access to the latest information by visiting the official websites of the International English Language Testing System, the Pearson Test of English, and the LanguageCert.
