The explosion of an anti-tank mine in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district, west of Karabakh region, on Friday killed three people, including two journalists, and injured four others, according to the country's law enforcement authorities.
The incident happened when a vehicle carrying the group hit the mine in the Susuzlug village in the district, which returned to Azerbaijan's control after its six-week war with Armenia last November.
"Siraj Abishov, a state television journalist, Maharram Ibrahimov, a reporter with the state news agency Azertac, and Arif Aliyev, a local official, were killed in the blast," the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office said in a joint statement.
Four others, including the driver and a civilian, were hospitalized with different injuries, the statement added.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
