Akram Zeynalli, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to China, delivered a speech at the event as well.

Zeynalli highlighted the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China. “The Republic of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with China and considers expanding and deepening its cooperation with China as one of the main priorities of its foreign policy,” he said.

As this year marks the 10th anniversary of the proposal of Belt and Road Initiative, Zeynalli emphasized that Azerbaijan was among the first group of supporters of the initiative and spoke highly of the achievements made so far. “The Belt and Road Initiative brings vast opportunities and dividends to the participating countries in terms of trade, investment, infrastructure, transportation, etc,” said the ambassador.

“Azerbaijan is keen to cooperate with the Chinese partners to attract more investment to its open and transparent market, where entrance requirements are quite easy, and the business climate is continuously improving through diverse reforms and policies,” Zeynalli said.
