The UAE-China Friendship Festival commenced in Beijing on Nov. 28, 2024, marking 40 years of partnership and cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the People's Republic of China.

The event features a series of activities aimed at celebrating this diplomatic milestone, enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening connections between the Emirati and Chinese people.

As part of the festival, visitors can explore the UAE-China Market, which presents traditional crafts from both nations. Guests have the opportunity to experience a variety of Emirati heritage products through workshops led by artisans, with participation from Chinese visitors.

The festival also includes live performances inspired by folklore from both countries. Handicraft booths are set up throughout the venue, showcasing handmade products by Emirati and Chinese artists, providing visitors the chance to engage with both nations' cultures.

Diplomatic relations between the UAE and China were established in 1984. Over the next four decades, the two countries have enhanced their cooperation across various fields, including trade, education, technology and clean energy. Currently, this partnership continues to grow as both nations aim to achieve progress and prosperity on the global stage. The UAE-China Friendship Festival provides an opportunity for visitors to celebrate this enduring partnership and to explore shared values that connect both countries.
