Ten Greek olive oil companies presented their products for the first time in the Chinese market during the 8th International Exhibition of Olive Oil and Olive Products that took place in Beijing at the China World Trade Center between 23 and 25 of April.

In the framework of the Exhibition, which for the Greek participation was under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Beijing, a special presentation was arranged- with the communication support of the Press & Communication Office- to a broad audience of Chinese importers, representatives of the food industry, journalists, TV Channels and public opinion leaders.

The history presentation of Greek olive oil on the Exhibition center's digital screen - which was enriched by the free circulation of the Cultural Newsletter "ε π ι Κ ο Ι ν ω Ν ί Α" about olive oil, issued by the Press & Communication Office – the multimedia touristic presentation of Greece, the quality analysis of the olive oil, the Greek health diet and the virgin olive oil testing left the best impression for the future demand growth of olive oil in China.

During the event, H.E. the Ambassador of Greece in China, Mr. Theodore Georgakelos, noted the high quality of Greek agricultural products exported in China and especially of the Greek "gold", the olive oil, the nutrition value of the Greek olive, which is globally the most tasty, and referred to Hippocrates, who identified more than 60 therapeutic effects of olive oil, that add in human longevity.

The ingenious design of the oil bottles by most of the Greek firms attracted the Exhibition attendees' attention, and taking for granted the quality and the price, as well as the necessity of better marketing, the Greek olive oil has excellent prospects in the Chinese market.

Undoubtedly, the Greek presentation made the best impression.
