6.0-magnitude quake hits off east coast of Honshu, Japan

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 09:49: 54 GMT on Tuesday (17:49:54 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 15.30 km, was initially determined to be at 37.3480 degrees north latitude and 142.4062 degrees east longitude.
