Four New York Times journalists detained in Libya have been released and handed over to the Turkish embassy in Tripoli, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Monday.

The journalists would fly to their countries in a couple of hours, Davutoglu told reporters here.

The reporters had been missing in Libya since last Tuesday and Libyan authorities said Friday they were captured by forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi.
