The worldwide challenge of economic crisis was a test for the financial cooperation of BRIC countries, and the upcoming summit would be a stage to show the "coordination wisdom" of China, Russia, India and Brazil, Chinese ambassador to Russia Li Hui told Xinhua in Moscow on the eve of the Second Summit of the BRIC group.

The second summit would inherit the first meeting's spirit, which was to protect and promote the interests of developing countries through joint efforts. Therefore, what will be achieved in the summit would reflect the group's wisdom on economic cooperation and coordination, Li said.

Li said the "coordination wisdom" could be interpreted as the joint efforts by BRIC countries on five aspects.

"The first one is how they work for a new path for economic development in post-crisis era. The four countries adopted different measures to deal with the challenge of financial crisis and had significant achievement respectively. They are expected to hold together to find a new way for the development of world economy."

The second aspect was to help pushing forward the reform of international financial system, as the BRICs would discuss issues on international reserve currency, the emerging economies' rights in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and trade protection, Li noted.

Moreover, the BRICs would show their "coordination wisdom" in cooperation on how to respond to the global challenges like climate change and food security, how to help and support other developing countries as well as how to deal with the competition inside the BRIC group, Li added.

"As two members of the BRIC group, China and Russia have been enhancing their cooperation and coordination on international affairs. There is an absolute need for our two nations to continue promoting exchange and cooperation on more global issues such as anti-terror actions and international financial organization reform," Li said.

The second summit of BRIC countries is scheduled for April 15- 16 in the Brazilian capital of Brasilia.

At the invitation of Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the meeting.

During the summit, BRIC leaders will discuss the situation of the world economy, the G20, reform of global financial organizations, climate change and dialogue and cooperation among BRIC countries.
