WCIF boosts Sino-European cooperation

Ning Guangxia, Secretary of the Western China International Fair (WCIF) Secretariat said on August 8, 2014 that the annual WCIF has recorded an increase in the number of Eastern and Central European countries participated. The new platform greatly boosts regional cooperation.

A visiting group including 11 journalists from Central and Eastern European countries attended a forum held in Chengdu on that day. At the forum, Ning Guangxia said that in last year's WCIF held in October, Czechic exhibitors displayed a light civilian aircraft which attracted great attention, resulting in over 20 aircrafts sold soon after and orders signed. "Its likely the Czechic exhibition scale will be further expanded this year," noted Ning.

It is reported that Czechic politicians will lead 15 to 20 companies of general aviation, 15 to 20 enterprises in the field of crystal glass and at least three aircrafts to participate in the fair.

In addition, manufacturers from Romania and other Central and Eastern European countries will also attend the fair.

The visiting group consisted of 11 journalists from seven countries in Central and Eastern European arrived in Beijing on August 3. The group also went to Tianjin, Shenzhen and Chengdu for a one-week interview.
