The 15th Western China International Fair will be held in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, from October 23 to November 3. Luzhou City was designated as the fair's theme city for the first time this year. The theme cities in the past few years were Ganzi, Aba and Liangshan. France is the guest of honor to the fair, and Shaanxi Province holds the fair's rotating presidency.

The fair's Luzhou Pavilion has an area of 1,500 square meters and is one of the largest pavilions at the event.

Luzhou greatly improved its construction of venues after being named the theme city. The Luzhou Pavilion now has an area of 1,500 square meters and it is the biggest among the fair's pavilions. It is also optimally situated within the exhibition space. The boost provided by these two advantages is bound to help Luzhou expand its development.

In addition to improving its physical exhibition space, Luzhou has also improved the services on offer at its pavilion. Organizers intend to hold a special convention for purchasers after the opening of the fair. Luzhou officials will use this opportunity to introduce the city to all the fair's participants and to make presentations which are intended to raise future investment in the city.

Luzhou to cooperate with France for the 2015 Wine Fair

This year is the 50th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic ties. France, the guest of honor at the fair, will cooperate closely with Luzhou and will bring 350 small and medium enterprises to the fair. Local officials and enterprises will try their best to take advantage of the fair to expand bilateral cooperation.

France is the home of the wine. Therefore, the fair is the perfect occasion to initiate international cooperation in the wine industry in Luzhou, which is famous for its liquor. Luzhou will also take advantage of its special status to work together with the wine industry of France to prepare for the 2015 wine fair. Some French wine enterprises will in turn be invited to the wine fair, which will advance the event's worldwide reputation.
