8,871 companies to join the 15th WCIF

8,871 enterprises from 74 countries and regions will take part in the 15th Western China International Fair. Of these, 2,927 are foreign enterprises, making up 33 percent of the total. Fourteen countries – France, Britain, the United States, Russia, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Georgia, Iceland, Belarus, Uzbekistan and South Africa – will set up their national pavilions at the fair. As the guest of honor, France is being given special status at the fair. Its national pavilion will cover an area of 3,164 square meters and will host over 100 exhibiting enterprises.

The U.S. has organized 35 companies and a delegation of 100 people to participate in the fair. A number of Fortune 500 companies and multinational corporations like Intel, Dell, Carrefour, Michelin, Sony, Foxconn, Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Bank), Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China Resources Group, Novartis Group, Panasonic, Agricultural Bank of China and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China have decided to come to the fair.

Twenty-eight provinces (including autonomous regions and municipalities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps boast will share an exhibition area of 7,894 square meters. 20 cities (prefectures) in Sichuan Province will also join in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 45,000 square meters.
