The opening ceremony of the 15th Western China International Fair and the Seventh Western China International Cooperation Forum are scheduled to be held on October 24, 2014 in Chengdu, China. More than 600 domestic and foreign guests will attend.

The theme of this year's forum is "Restructuring and Development: Common Opportunities and Challenges." Because France is the guest of honor at the fair, some French dignitaries and Chinese party and state leaders will be invited to the forum to deliver keynote speeches.

Meanwhile, the Seventh Western China International Cooperation Forum ? Phoenix Finance Forum will be held in the afternoon, marking the first cooperation between the fair's Organizing Committee and Phoenix TV. This forum, with many professional themed sub-forums, will not only positively contribute to the fair's restructuring and development, but will also serve as a manifestation of the market orientation of the fair. With "Innovation – the prospects and potential for the sustainable development of China's economy" as its theme, the forum will address topics like "One Belt and One Road" (OBAOR), deepening reform and new urbanization. Economists and business leaders from China and abroad, such as Fan Gang, Chen Wenling, Hu Zuliu and Ma Jun, are expected to make keynote speeches and participate in interactive dialogues and joint discussions.
