Vanadium & Titanium Industry Expo contracts valued at 77b

The 2014 China (Panzhihua) Vanadium and Titanium Industry Expo, the first vanadium and titanium industry expo in China, ended on Nov. 30, 2014. The total value of investment and trade projects signed over the three days of the expo amounted to 76.877 billion yuan, including 37 investment project contracts that reached a total value of 34.983 billion yuan. Additionally, 481 sales contracts totaling 41.894 billion yuan were also finalized at the event.

The trade fair drew 835 representatives from domestic and foreign enterprises, research institutes and nine provincial cities. More than 20,000 exhibits gave visitors an overview of the vanadium and titanium industry from raw materials to manufacturing equipment to end products. Several exhibits also focused on the application of vanadium and titanium products to the aerospace industry, medical device manufacturing and consumer products manufacturing.

High-end products were the biggest highlight of this exposition. Seven professional and technical forums led by six academics and attended by more than 300 industry experts were held to e the topic of "Innovation promotes development and vanadium and titanium shape the future." Over 50 scientific research papers or reports discussing the top-level design, policies and development path of west Panzhihua, a strategic resource innovation test area, were also presented at the expo.
