The 18-kilometer-long Qinling Zhongnanshan highway tunnel in Shaanxi Province will open to traffic on January 20.

The 3.1 billion yuan tunnel will play an important role in reducing the traveling times in the Shaanxi province, cutting the drive from Xi'an City to Zha Shui County Town from 3 hours to 40 minutes.
