Editor's Note: A new exhibition titled "Feng Liu: The Eastern Renaissance" opened recently at China World Mall in Beijing, in collaboration with Yeli Youth Art Museum. This large-scale project integrates exhibition, workshops and literati gatherings to "revitalize" intangible cultural heritage within a commercial complex. Featuring six artist teams and four major installations, the show bridges classical motifs and contemporary media to position Beijing's CBD as a new hub of Eastern aesthetics.

The exhibition articulates an East-West, past-present dialogue, translating calligraphy, ink painting, thangka, furniture craft and literati ethos into immersive public art. From sustainable sculpture to pixel-based reconstructions and ritual cosmologies, the curatorial method treats heritage as a living technology — one that thrives through making, viewing and participation. The result is an art-commerce ecology that is didactic without spectacle, accessible without dilution.

The 3-meter hand-painted sculpture made from stainless-steel armature, fiberglass and 3D resin reimagines Taihu rocks, flora and rare birds to create a "world of four seasons in one."
