Gao Yupeng, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) branch of the Huairoubei Locomotive Operations Depot, spoke on the deployment of the first self-service on- and off- duty system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. "Since being put into operation, the system has increased attendance efficiency by about 30%, while significantly reducing failure rates, achieving the goal of enhanced automation without compromising safety oversight," Gao said.
